12 armed school security guards proposed in Limestone
ATHENS — Limestone County Superintendent Thomas Sisk proposed hiring 12 retired police officers today for elementary school security.
Sisk wants the Limestone County Commission to split the $250,000 cost of hiring the part-time officers.
The officers would be armed.
