Hartselle police take a man into custody on Vaughn Bridge Road near the old National Guard Armory today in connection with a bank robbery in Decatur.

Hartselle police have arrested two men suspected of being involved in an armed robbery at Peoples Bank on Beltline Road this afternoon.

Police said a man walked into the bank at about 2 p.m. with a handgun and demanded money, then left.

Police said witnesses gave a description of the man and his vehicle, a white Ford F-150. Hartselle police stopped a vehicle matching the description and arrested both of the vehicle’s occupants.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

Check back later today for updates.
