Hartselle school board approves hiring of interim CFO
HARTSELLE — Hartselle school board members voted Monday to hire an interim chief financial officer to replace outgoing CFO Sarita Tapscott this week.
The board approved hiring Lisa McMurray, former account supervisor for Madison County Schools and interim CFO for Madison City Schools. McMurray also recently worked as an accounting consultant for Limestone County Schools.
Board Chairman James Joy said McMurray, of Gurley, will work three days a week at $75 per hour until the board selects a permanent CFO later this spring. McMurray works for Finatra, an employment contracting agency in Athens.
