Limestone sheriff raising funds for rodeo trip
|
ATHENS — The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department will host a fundraising dinner for Miss Limestone Rodeo winner Lauren Terry from 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the Sheriff’s Rodeo Arena on Alabama 99 in Athens.
Terry is traveling to Oklahoma City to represent the county in the Miss Rodeo USA Pageant. The fundraiser is meant to help Terry’s family pay for travel expenses, outfits and room and board during the trip.
Swamp John’s restaurants in Muscle Shoals is catering the dinner. Fish, chicken and shrimp plates can be bought for $10. Advance tickets are available at the Sheriff’s Department on Elm Street in Athens, or tickets can be purchased at the door.
