Man indicted for pretending to be officer
|
RUSSELLVILLE — A Jackson County man has been indicted after authorities said he pretended to be a law enforcement officer to get information about an ex-girlfriend.
Courthouse officials said this morning that Lonnie Dewayne Prince, 49, 477 Jackson 138, Scottsboro, was indicted on charges of impersonating a peace officer.
The indictment was issued by a Franklin County grand jury in January, officials said.
He is accused of claiming to be an FBI agent and calling his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend and his family six times over a three-day period last summer.
